YOUR BELIEFS CREATE YOUR LIFE, BUT ARE THEY YOURS?

Our core beliefs affect how we see our world, identity, morality, etc. and often control much of the way we behave and how we conduct our life.  Most beliefs are adopted from others through our life and are often flawed, unhelpful, cause anxiety or are completely wrong.

Being asked how many beliefs we think we have, may well have an answer of ‘possibly a couple of hundred or less’. I will be conservative and say the answer is millions. Ahead is a list to give us an idea of just how many beliefs we have that  we think are our own, but are actually accepted from other sources, whether from customs, traditions, educations, parents, relatives, friends, experts, authorities, TV or people we feel must know. This list may be less than 1% of our actual beliefs. We also have positive beliefs and would assume they are all good to have. But that is not necessarily so. We may believe ‘we are invincible’ and so feel it is OK to try a dangerous stunt. Without that belief, we may be more intuitive or apply caution. A belief of ‘I must always be strong’ may seem positive, but could be suppressing our natural reaction to cry or other emotions.

Luckily, we don’t need to address all our beliefs. So that our life is not dictated by beliefs we have accepted as true, we can instead work on raising our own light vibration. This helps us to be intuitive instead of being controlled by our thoughts. Being positive and non judgmental and allowing people to walk their own path without our interference can lessen the amount of negative energy and karma we create. In the end, the best way to live could be that instead of abiding by a set of beliefs, we could just respond to our gut feeling (intuition) in each moment. However, it can help if we look at our most obvious beliefs and let them go.

The answer is to be intuitive. There is some discipline involved in achieving that. When our mind runs rampant with many thoughts, command it to ‘stop’. I mean literally. Take a period of time each day, say 10 minutes, and every time a thought appears, say out loud ‘Stop’ or ‘Cancel’. That action begins to bring the mind back under control of the soul, to be used when you want it, and not when it decides to saturate you and keep your mind full of never ending chatter and awake at night. It does not take long to correct this situation, maybe just a few days. As well as that, make sure you acknowledge to yourself every time you are intuitive. You think of something and next minute it happens. You think about a friend and they ring or you see them at the shops. You take a different route to work for no obvious reason and later discover there was a huge traffic jam on your normal route. That is being intuitive.

AHEAD IS A VERY LONG LIST OF THE MORE COMMON BELIEFS MOST PEOPLE HAVE.  THE LIST IS TO OFFER A DIFERENT REALITY FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO FEEL THEY HAVE ONLY A FEW BELIEFS.
