THE
SOUL REMEMBERS THE WHOLE
A shift occurs in the personality at the
moment we realize we are not individuals operating alone. Up to then, we
tend to believe we are personally responsible for every clever move, and
expect credit and a pat on the back for producing something so good.
That is a common pattern of the ego personality. The personality is
something the soul adopts when incarnating, and then adds to through
life. It can lose balance and shift into feeling inferior or superior,
and we commonly see both.
At some point, the soul begins shedding much
of this adopted personality and returning to the truth of what it really
is. It starts to understand it is not separate, but part of a whole that
moves in unison and contributes to the collective of humanity. From that
perspective, we know we are contributing in a natural and satisfactory
way, simply doing what feels right as part of the greater unfolding. We
are content to be moving within the flow of the universe, with no need
for personal ego credit.
A flow of light and guidance runs through
all of us. Those who have been incarnating here for a long time may plan
a larger role for a life and carry it out well. Yet without the
universal flow offering thousands of small signs along the way, and the
needed energy and guidance, it is unlikely we would achieve what we came
to do.
So there is no personal ‘how clever am I,’
as happens when the soul still identifies with credit for its actions.
The soul itself simply holds a quiet certainty of ‘I did that well.’ It
is a quiet acknowledgment of truth, without attachment or emotion. A
stable awareness that one’s actions are helping the whole.
