SIGNS FROM THE UNIVERSE
When we find that quiet place within, answers often come with
ease. Yet in the noise and rush of life, stillness can be elusive.
Thankfully, the universe speaks in many ways—not only in silence, but
through countless signs woven into everyday life. It always has your
back, guiding you with answers. Doors may open effortlessly, or close
again and again, as if to whisper, “Not this way.”
We draw to us what we need. Signs are messages unique to us and
our situation, and the key is that they catch our attention. Something
out of the ordinary is often a sign—so notice what pulls your focus.
It could be
a person, situation, event, structure, books, nature, location or media. Spirit is in everything
and everyone. It is all around us and intertwined in ordinary moments of
life. Signs may be subtle or obvious, literal or symbolic. They can
arrive anywhere—while driving, in the shower, washing dishes, or
scrolling online. A road sign reading Slow Down might speak to
your lifestyle. A book falls from a shelf—perhaps check the page it
opens to. You find an old photo of a friend—maybe it’s time to
reconnect, resolve a disagreement, or offer help. To notice the signs, we
must be present. A mind lost in noise will miss the quiet choreography
of synchronicity, where events align in impossible harmony. When we
trust the signs and follow the thread, we find ourselves carried by a
current that is both mysterious and precise—guided not only by inner
stillness, but by an ongoing conversation with the universe.
One of the universe’s most profound signs is the mirror: a
reflection of ourselves revealed through the people and situations we
encounter. It remains with us throughout life, offering the gift of
self-awareness—showing us traits we need to heal, and reflecting the
qualities we admire in others so we may recognize them in ourselves.
The following
offer examples of the types of
signs people often notice when deciding to
follow or avoid a path.
Intuitive and
emotional signs
a. Strong gut feeling. This
could be sudden warmth,
excitement, or peace which often indicates a yes. Or perhaps a
tightening or sinking feeling in the stomach, heaviness, fear or dread
which is often a no.
b. Recurring thoughts.
A thought may return again
and again, uninvited, or vanish into disinterest.
An idea keeps “bubbling
up” unbidden, or the opposite happens and you feel unmotivated and
uninterested when you think about it.
c. Emotional lift or drop. You feel
unusually energized after hearing about it - or suddenly feel drained
when imagining doing it.
Synchronicities
and repetition
a. Repeating numbers. We
may see numbers like. 11:11 or 777
that show up repeatedly when thinking about a particular choice.
b.
Recurring words or symbols.
Perhaps hearing the same unusual phrase, name, or concept in unrelated
conversations, media, or dreams.
c.
Linked events.
You think about a job, then “randomly” meet someone who works there or
brings it up. You are considering a holiday and an advert appears
promoting a particular destination. You are contemplating addressing a
debt and a friend gives you a book on financial freedom
Physical and
environmental cues
a.
Unexpected obstacles. This
could be transport delays, repeated tech failures, paperwork
disappearing, or doors literally closing on you. Internet down, no
Wi-Fi, texts won’t send, TV isn’t working. These may mean nothing but
tune in and see if it is a message.
b. Smooth flow. Processes move
unusually easily, people respond faster than expected, or you find
yourself “in the right place at the right time.”
c. Weather patterns. Sudden
storms or perfect sunshine coinciding with the moment you’re meant to
decide. The weather may change in a sort of symbolic way with the sun
breaking through at a moment of clarity, storms gathering when the path
is wrong or a rainbow appearing where none was expected.
Dreams and inner
imagery
a. Vivid guiding dreams.
Dreams can
become messengers: a mentor appears, a winding road,
seeing symbolic objects such as keys, bridges, locked doors,
roads.
b. Nightmares or unsettling
dreams. Feeling trapped,
lost, or under threat when thinking about the path.
c. Recurring dream settings.
Perhaps the same place,
vehicle, or journey appearing repeatedly.
Messages through
others
a. Unsolicited advice. Strangers or
acquaintances comment directly on your situation
without knowing our story.
b. Story mirroring. This could
be
overhearing
someone describe a situation that parallels your choice, especially if
the outcome in their story is extreme.
c.
Song lyrics or quotes. Hearing
a song lyric that will echo exactly what we needed to hear.
Body sensations
at the decision moment
a. Lightness and openness. Expanded
breathing, tingling, warmth, a “lifting” sensation.
b. Contraction and heaviness.
Shallow breath,
tension in the neck/shoulders, sinking stomach.
c. Sudden chills or goosebumps.
Our
bodies speak in whispers with tingles, chills, goose bumps, a sudden
breath of openness—or tighten in warning.
Often a sign of truth or deep alignment.
Timing and
divine delay
a. Perfect timing. The opportunity
arrives exactly when you’re ready, or it feels like “fate” lined up
events.
b. Repeated postponements. The thing keeps
getting pushed back, making you wonder if it’s meant to happen at all.
c. Sudden deadlines. Forcing you to
act quickly and trust instinct.
Nature and
animal messengers
a.
Animal appearances. Unusually
seeing
a certain species. Animals can cross our path as living symbols: a hawk
circling when we need clarity, an owl offers wisdom, a snake sliding
into view when change is coming. b. Natural omens such as rainbows, unusual cloud shapes, and rare flowers blooming in your path. Colours, flowers, animals, rocks and crystals all have certain meanings. Pay attention to what you see, what you come into contact with, what keeps reappearing in your life and what you are drawn to.
c. Invasive interruptions like
swarms, pests,
storms, floods, or animal disturbances coinciding with your plan.
Love,
Sandy Stevenson
